What is Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)?
When people work with electrical appliances, health and safety regulations state that the appliance must be safe, to prevent harm to the workers: PAT is the act of testing electrical items to make sure they are safe to use and will not cause injury or damage property.
If you are the owner of a business that uses electricity, then you are required by law to submit to regular PAT testing.
